Southeast of England groundworker Tamdown Group has strengthened both its relationship with Thwaites distributor Ernest Doe & Sons, and its fleet holding of Thwaites dumpers with a further ten machines being purchased in a recent deal.

The latest acquisition delivers 5 x 3-ton and 5 x 6-ton straight tip hydrostatic dumpers.

As construction activity intensifies across the Southeast, these new Thwaites machines will soon be at work on the growing number of Tamdown projects.

Thwaites welcomed representatives from the Tamdown Group and Ernest Doe & Son for a tour of the factory, enabling a first-hand view of the manufacturing process and a chance to meet the manufacturing team.

Mark Cain, Plant & Procurement Director at Tamdown, commented, “We work collaboratively with our supply chain and the relationship we have built together with Does over many years, coupled with their ability to consistently deliver both value and quality, is why the relationship goes from strength to strength. These new dumpers, with their enhanced safety features and robust construction, helps our workforce to deliver Operational Excellence for our clients, across all our sites.”

Nigel Booley, Area Sales Manager at Ernest Doe, explained, “It was important to us that Tamdown could see the exceptional quality of Thwaites’ machines for themselves. The factory visit provided them with valuable insights into the engineering expertise and attention to detail that go into every dumper. This reinforced the value of their investment and the high standards we uphold.”

Paul Rodwell, Distributor Manager for Thwaites Dumpers, added, “We take pride in manufacturing machines that deliver both performance and safety for Thwaites owners and operators. This deal with Tamdown, facilitated by our long-standing distributor partnership with Ernest Doe, highlights the quality and reliability of our products. We’re delighted to see even more of our dumpers being used across Tamdown’s impressive portfolio of projects.”

Tamdown’s position as a key player in the groundwork sector makes this deal particularly significant. The collaboration between Ernest Doe, Thwaites Dumpers, and Tamdown represents the best of what can be achieved when you combine experience, trust and exceptional products.
