PJ Towey Construction Ltd, a loyal customer of Hitachi Construction Machinery UK (HCMUK), celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.  The Nottingham-based company specialises in groundworks and civil engineering services for small to large-scale contracts. It has been working with HCMUK for over 36 years, investing in a huge range of quality machinery for its varied contracts. Its current fleet includes Zaxis-6 mini excavators, as well as some of the latest Zaxis-7 medium models.

Company owner PJ Towey says he continues to choose HCM because of the dependable nature of the machines: “The reliability of Hitachi Construction Machinery is second-to-none and even after we’ve finished with a machine, the residual value for the brand remains very strong in the market.”

And he’s even more impressed with his newest Zaxis-7 excavators: “A lot of time has been spent tailoring the Zaxis-7 series round the operator, and the spacious cab makes operating them an enjoyable experience. They are very good.”

The continued partnership between HCMUK and customer throughout the majority of PJ Towey’s operational years comes from a strong relationship, based on good service. According to PJ, they have received a “very efficient” service over the past 36 years. He says: “In the unfortunate event of an issue with any of our fleet, HCMUK is out immediately, and problems are dealt with swiftly to prevent downtime.”
