In 2024, Doosan Bobcat employees around the world are giving back by volunteering in their communities. From activities taking place close to company locations stretching from the Czech Republic, France, Belgium, Germany and the UK to those in South Africa and the United Arab Emirates, Doosan Bobcat employees are making positive contributions for the local communities where they work across the EMEA region.
Within Doosan Bobcat EMEA, across 8 different countries, more than 484 employees have dedicated 917 volunteer hours to give back to their communities.
These volunteer activities are part of Doosan Bobcat Community Days, a company-wide volunteer effort aimed at giving back to the communities where Bobcat employees live and work. Although Doosan Bobcat employees stretch the spirit of giving throughout the entire year, they came together this fall to participate in company-organized projects.
Scott Park, Doosan Bobcat CEO and Vice Chairman commented, “Just as Doosan Bobcat’s teams are committed to empowering customers and each other to accomplish more, we are also committed to building stronger communities and a better tomorrow. By volunteering our time and talent, our employees around the world continue to make an impact on the communities where we live and work.”
Bobcat Equipment Put to Good Use
Employee volunteers carried out a variety of activities, including projects that preserve the environment such as planting fruit trees and bushes; community herb gardens; implementing bee hives, bug houses and insect hotels and planting wildflowers, as well as cleaning up an area close to a local dam and greening office environments. In applicable projects, volunteers used a fleet of Bobcat equipment – such as compact loaders, mini-excavators, compact tractors, mowers and more – to make tough jobs easier while increasing efficiency and productivity.
Every year through Doosan Bobcat Community Days, the company celebrates that its employees live out the company’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) commitments to community engagement, sustainability and responsible growth as an organization. Doosan Bobcat has a longstanding tradition of supporting its employees who make a difference in their communities by volunteering, such as serving on non-profit boards, committees and other community organizations.
“It is our mission to empower people, and being a good neighbour in our communities is part of our commitment and our culture,” Scott Park continued. “We ensure our employees have the support to give back because making a difference in the world starts at home.”
