As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV (HCME) held a dedicated awards evening in an exclusive venue overlooking the Amsterdam Olympic Stadium. The aim of the inaugural event was not only to commemorate the successes of its dealer network, but also to honour those who are helping to build a better future.
Shift to digitalisation
The winner of the Go Digital Award was Hitachi Construction Machinery UK (HCMUK) for its dedicated Hitachi Connected Technology division, boosting profits of new machine sales, and providing eight options as one-stop solutions.
HCMUK CEO Dave Roberts accepted the innovative award on behalf of his team and said: “I was very humbled to receive the Go Digital Award on behalf of my fellow Director Stephen Creaser and his Product Support team.
“As a class-leading solutions partner, we have fully embraced Hitachi’s value chain strategy for customised solutions. We are proud of how we are leading the way with Hitachi Connected Technology – and in particular CTFleet Link – to meet the needs of our customers.”
The HCME Go Digital Award was designed to showcase the Hitachi dealers who have embraced the manufacturer’s shift to digitalisation, and adapted to new technologies and developments in a rapidly changing world. The other nominees for the award included German dealer Kiesel and Belgian dealer Luyckx NV. All of these dealers have demonstrated how they have learned quickly from their customers and responded to their needs for greater insight, more control and safer equipment in the digital age.
