Takeuchi have recently appointed a new dealership for East Anglia. Mervyn Lambert Plant will be the new Takeuchi dealer covering Norfolk and Suffolk.Based in Diss in Norfolk, Mervyn Lambert Plant Ltd is one of the oldest plant sales businesses in the region, set up in 1969. Mervyn Lambert have a large support team both on hire and sales, with over 100 staff. Already very familiar with Takeuchi, they have invested in Takeuchi for many years in their extensive hire fleet.
James Lambert, Managing Director Mervyn Lambert commented, “For more than 15 years we have been a big user of Takeuchi in the fleet. They are high quality and very reliable excavators which always sell extremely well second-hand holding a high residual value. When the opportunity to take on the dealership came up we could not resist. We are massive fans of Takeuchi and are looking forward to working together to promote the brand in the East Anglia region.”
For Takeuchi their nationwide dealer network has been a big part of the brands success over the past 25 years with more than 30 regional dealer depots across the UK and Ireland. As the excavator range has increased to now more than 20 models, Takeuchi see local regional dealers as more and more important for genuine machine after sales including parts and service.
Chris Bushell, Takeuchi’s UK Sales Manager said, “A locally based dealership for the region is key for Takeuchi to support our growing customer base. Without doubt, adding Mervyn Lambert based centrally in East Anglia is a perfect match for this busy region, and customers can be assured of a high standard local-level support to many Norfolk and Suffolk Takeuchi machine owners.”
Mervyn Lambert are already well established in plant sales, with a large facility and support team to back up a brand like Takeuchi. Mervyn Lambert take on the region from former dealer Rob Owen.
“Rob certainly helped put Takeuchi on the map in the region and Takeuchi would like to thank Rob for all his hard work over the last twelve years and wish him well with his new venture. “
