The JCB 65R-1 is a reduced tail swing 6 tonne mini excavator model – these are similar to the zero swing, but the body will protrude from the width of the tracks – albeit to a lesser extent that the conventional version (JCB 67C-1). When compared alongside JCB’s relevant conventional model, the 8026, the 8025 does fall short. Sharing the same 18.9kW power plant Is sits alongside the relevant zero tail swing model, the 8025 ZTS. The 3 tonne zero tail swing mini excavator from JCB, the 8030 ZTS is a true zero tail swing (as compared to a reduced swing version). With a wider undercarriage than the smaller 8025 model, the machine is powered by the Perkins 1.5 litre 20.9kW diesel engine. The machines were available as cab or canopy versions when new, so check the specifications carefully.
