Although you will find a wide choice of used motor graders for sale on these pages, the chances are that the majority will be Caterpillar models. There are plenty of other manufacturers of motor graders, but the UK’s Aveling-Barford went into liquidation in 2010. John Deere make a range of graders, but have not broken fully into the UK market. Other manufacturers with examples for sale in the UK include Case and Volvo CE. Originally the grader was a blade on a frame strapped to a tractor until Caterpillar started production of an integrated machine in the 1930s – this may be one reason why they are so popular in the UK.
